Facts about Micro-organisms
Hi again !! So welcome to my page π.I hope you have enjoyed my earlier posts. So before move to the topic, I want to say that please share this among your friends.
so let's go to our topic,ππ
Present, you all know about that we live under a control of a one of dangerous virus.π¦ But the interesting fact is that virus can not be seen in our naked eye. it's like a attack of invisible person. So not only the virus, also there are many organisms that can not seen our naked eyeπ but live around us. So today I'm going to talk about them π.
*First I'll tell who are those organisms.*
-Unicellular or multicellular Organisms that can not be seen in our naked eye when taking individually is called as Micro-organisms
+These types of organisms can not be seen in our naked eye so that we use an equipment to observe them.
-That is Light Microscope .but to observe some of them we use Electric microscope
There are many types of organisms belong to this group. We can categorize them mainly in to 5 groups. They are,
So let's discuss one by one.
1.Bacteria
- They are unicellular organisms.
- They are microscopic.
- They have different body shapes.
- They can live in any environments.(any hostile environments like Volcano π , Hot spring, Glaziers etc.)
- Because of above reason they are widely spread.
Some examples for them are,
*Lactobacillus bulgaricus
*Bacillus anthracis
*Vibrio cholerae
2.Fungi
- Some of them are unicellular but some are multicellular
- They have chitinous cell walls and eukaryotic cellular organization.
- There are about 1.5 - 5 million species
- Most of the are microscopic. But some reproductive structures can be seen with naked eye. eg; Mushrooms
- No tissue differentiation
- Live on organic matter or living body .Some of them are in aquatic environments.
Some examples for them are,
*Yeast
*Penicillin
3.Protozoa
- They are unicellular
- They are microscopic
- they do not have a cell wall
- Some eukaryotic
- Live in aquatic environments as well as in other living organism
Some examples for them are ,
*Amoeba
*Paramecium
*Euglena
*Plasmodium
4.Algae
- Some are unicellular some are multicellular
- They have filamentous or thallus body shape
- They are photosynthetic organisms
- Algal variety such as ulva visible to the naked eye
- Microscopic algal floating on water surface are called phytoplankton
Some examples for them are,
*Chlamydomonas
*Spirogyra
*Diatoms
5.Virus
- They are electron microscopic
- Haven't cellular organization
- Show both living and non living characteristics
- Multiply only on living organisms
- They only show reproduction as a living character
Some examples for them are,
*HIV
*Influenza virus
*Ebola virus
Common harmful effects of Micro-organisms
1.Cause diseases to human
Virus - Covid 19,Dengue,Common cold
Bacteria - Tuberculosis, Typhoid fever, Leprosy, Anthrax
Protozoa - Malaria, Leishmaniasis
Fungi - Pityriasis, sore
